Introduction to My Blog

....At the age of 9, i started running around the house with my mum’s makeup, (i definitely got smacked for it) with little idea about its function , this is reminiscent to what most kids do in terms of dressing up. i started to mimic my mum’s application of cosmetic make up and from then the passion for it emerged. By the age of 13, majority of my allowance was spent on purchasing cosmetics; i made use of them when i went to church as that was the only extra curricular activity i engaged in aside school

Nowadays, Women devote more attention (effort, time and resources) to their appearance as this influences how others will perceive them. This may potentially explain why women are so interested in buying the latest fashion trends (i.e clothes, shoes, makeup, accessories, handbags, jewellery and skin products). it's becoming evident that not all women are  so interested in creating or having their own sense of style, instead they acknowledge and believe that designer labels will make them look their best and appear in a certain way that is acceptable to the current societal norms and values.

This dependence on designer labels negates the whole idea of being in the 21st century and being individualistic because people devote little less attention to expressing their own ideals and adopting that of the mainstream media.

Prettywoman is dedicated to making women understand the beauty aspect of fashion i.e. MAKEUP.

This blog will include a lot of tips on Makeup as well as fashion tips and styles.

Some people say “makeup shouldn’t be worn everyday” and I agree, on the other hand I feel makeup could be worn everyday and mostly on special occasions.

God created man in his own image; therefore I believe that everywoman is beautiful in their own special way.

I believe strongly in makeup. And i also believe makeup gives or add a meaning to your look. It is indeed a strong part of fashion and believe it or not MAKEUP TELLS A STORY

Make-up is my passion. Its what i dream, breathe, sleep with (literately after clubbing).
